Pediatric Dentistry
What is a Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric Dentists are to dentistry what pediatricians are to medicine. Following dental school,
pediatric dentists complete an advanced specialty education program during their residency.
Everything about pediatric dentists and their offices is different from a regular general dentist offices
for adults. Stop by our pediatric dental office. You will be pleasantly surprised.
The Age One Dental Visit
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age.
Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care. The Dental Home is intended to provide a place other than the Emergency Room for parents.
Our Goal
Our goal is to treat and prevent dental disease according and within the confines of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Guidelines. These Guidelines are evidenced based and we take them very seriously in everything we do at HCPD.
Our commitment is to provide comprehensive care to infants, children, teenagers and special needs patients in a safe, fun, and warm environment.
Our Mission
Our main mission is to treat every child as if they were our own. We want HCPD to be your child's "dental home" and their experience to be a personal one by seeing the same provider at each visit. We believe that through early education and treatment, any child can establish good dental practices that can become important habits for life.
